Remote Medical Coding

Remote coding for Outpatient ancillary, Professional providers – E&M, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, Inpatient, Observation with drug administration, Outpatient surgery, and ER Facility.


  • Turnaround time will be 24-48 hours upon receipt of the medical record.

  • A copy of the medical record will be made available via a scanned file through a secure access or through direct access.  We will work with the site to ensure compatibility prior to the go live.  Any problems with accessibility will be immediately resolved to ensure timely coding continues.

  • Access to the HIS will be provided to enable the remote coder direct data entry access to enter codes.  Training will be conducted via telephone to remote coding staff.

  • Required access to the site’s end coder to ensure compliance with the site-specific groupers. 

  • Fee per chart will include limited education conducted telephonically. If onsite education is required, an additional project fee will be required.  

  • Facility will identify a contact person for ongoing communication – physician queries, coding questions, networking, other issues necessary to ensure a rapid turnaround of all issues.

  • A log of uncoded accounts will be submitted daily /weekly with reason for delay.
